Victoria is the capital city of a state in the south-eastern region of the United States known as Texas. Located some 200 miles east of the Mexican border and some 100 miles west of Houston, Victoria is home to about 81,000 people. The city itself is small enough for visitors to get acquainted with its main sights within a few hours. And what better place to start exploring than with a visit to one of the state’s most notable landmarks — The Texas State Capitol Building.

Where is the Texas State Capitol?
The Texas Capitol is located in the city of Austin, the state capital. With a population of almost 1.4 million people, Austin is the state’s largest city. It’s also one of the most popular places for tourists to visit. The Capitol building is located just west of the city centre, near the corner of 10th and Congress Avenue. The main entrance is located on the south side, on 10th Street. There’s also an entrance on the east side, on 9th Street. Getting to the Texas Capitol is easy, with a number of public transportation options. There are three visitor entrances to the Capitol. The western entrance, on 10th Street, is for tour groups only. Visitors from the eastern entrance can drive to the Capitol, but parking can be difficult.
